GENERAL PTO / EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING

Call to Order: In attendance: Angela Mosby, Anne Hays, Shailja Enriquez, Erin Dunlap, Andy Schlie, Cathy Swink, Keri Williams, Kylie Foster, Kelly Harrison, Kelly Capps, Robin Jensen & Lisa Stopler.

Principal’s Report: Lisa Stolper - 

Presidents’ Report: Keri Williams - She will be soon securing the new positions for next year's PTO.

Treasurer’s Report: Cathy Swink - Bank balance around $30k

• 2023 tax returns filing are complete.
• Jan quarterly taxes due 25th, will pay tax on admission for Cougar Night and Trivia Night
• Library book donations, we were able to order 13 new books for the library.
• Trivia Night profits were $3,000 for the LKMS library. We will follow up with the librarian regarding to how to spend it.

Community Activities VP Report: Shailja Enriquez-

• Community Activities: Shailja - N/A
• Website: Robin Jensen - N/A
• ELA Books: Anne has finished the ELA book orders and she has them with her in her car. She plans to drop them off once the roads clear (blizzard of 2025) The profits total $433 from the sale. Profits of trivia night going to the library and the proceeds from these books This year was one book per grade level, not two like in previous years thus a smaller profit. Plus the sale wasn’t at the beginning of the year this year which hurt sales also. 
• 13 new books were purchased for the library directly donated on trivia night ticket sales website.

School Activities VP Report: Shailja Enriquez-

• Spirit Wear: Jennifer Davenport - N/A
• Cougar Night: Jennifer Turner & Kylie Foster - Cougar Night will be March 7th in progress. Mia is looking to take over Cougar Night next year and is shadowing this year.
• 8th Grade Farewell: Anne eighth grade celebration, struggling to price via al la carte, looking into Blue Hawk for location but they are working out the details. For example, we don’t want to purchase a arcade card if not all kids play in the arcade.
• Diversity Council Liaison - Angela Mosby - Waiting on final date confirmation for the Multicultural Festival. 

School Fundraising  VP Report: Erin Dunlap -

• Trivia Night - was a success! Trivia Night profits were $3,000 for the LKMS library. We will follow up with the librarian      regarding to how to spend it. 
• Mouse Derby - Friday, January 17th, from 7pm-9pm @ Lodge at Ironwoods
• Where: Lodge at Ironwoods (151st & Mission)
• Date: Friday, January 17, 2025
• Doors open @ 6:30 pm
• Races start @ 7pm event ends at 9pm

• Mice Racing and Roulette provided by: Wheeling ‘n’ Dealing Casino Parties 
• Mice Races- 6 rounds  (6 mice race in each round)
• $2 minimum per bet per race
• Payout is 50/50 (LKMS receives 50% of all bets placed) the other 50% is divided up equally between the winners based on the amount of their initial bet 
• Mouse Roulette- 6 rounds (possibly more) each round the buy-in amount increases Starting bet is $5. Only 38 slots each round will be sold (#’s 1-36, 0, 00 just like a standard casino roulette wheel) 
• Payout is again 50/50 (50% to LKMS and the other 50% to a single winner) 
• Food: Q39 BBQ 
• Host Bar provided by TopShelf Bartending 
• Live Silent Auction 
• Wine & Whiskey Pull $25 a pull 
• Second Chance Raffle Prizes (all losing bet tickets will be eligible for this) 
• Current admission headcount is 70, I would love to get up to 100!
• Tickets are on sale now and will be available up and until the night of the event. 
• We will accept admission at the door for anyone wanting to come last minute. 
• We did not increase the ticket price. It’s still $60 and it will stay that way. 
• All LKMS teachers and staff were sent a link for a discounted admission price of $45 
• We will be accepting cash and credit cards for all activities throughout that evening. 
• If interested in volunteering for the evening please let me know!

• Teacher Grants - N/A
• School Supplies - Cali Gee - N/A
• Staff Meals - Alison and Chrissy worked with Della to get the staff holiday gift cards organized.
