    3. Approve financial reports from treasurer for close out of last fiscal year
    4. Approve the 2026-2027 budget
  1. Principal’s Report: Dr. Lisa Stolper
    1. Air conditioning is working! YAY
    2. Fall play is next week – Thursday and Friday, matinee for 5th grade only
    3. School activities are ramping up and end of unit tests ongoing
    4. Conferences will be here before we know it – end of qtr is Oct 9th
  1. President Council Report: Tiffany McCalla
    1. First one is scheduled for Sept 22nd
  1. Treasurer’s Report: Andrea Weiner
    1. Anything in red is the adjustments that are happening from the previous year and meeting with Sam and Erin.
    2. Would like to add two-line items, printing and marketing for $100 and add Taxes for $700 overall and keep them separate. This would be an operation budget line item but we need to continue to track to ensure that each event have the same amount. 
    3. Will send over in an email
    4. Example Derby will have a tip line-item amount so we know what the end will be.
    5. You can move around the amount in the different buckets different from historical.
    6. 8th grade farewell is a pass-through
    7. 8th Grade collection will all go through School Cash. We will get a check from the district so that we can pay for the items.

  1. School Activities VP Report: Kelly Capps
    1. Cougar Night: Lara Arnold and Kara Wilson
      1. Friday October 30, 2026
      2. Theme: Halloween theme Freddy Cougar Night, costume contest
      3. Sent out the SUG for donations. Going to take the items and put them back in the PTO closet
      4. Volunteer sign up genius will go out in October
      5. Flyers and banners are done
      6. Get the back drop flyers ordered for the sets
      7. Cups are being ordered – do the 12oz and 250
      8. Pumpkins are ordered – did 100 for these
      9. Grocery bags – did 400 for $12
      10. Grindstaff email about timing of posters

2. 8th Grade Farewell Committee: Kelly will be the lead of the group

1. Thursday May 20, 2027

2. Have 6 volunteers on it

3. Donate the food from 5v5 to Lakewood

4. Bluhawk Contract – this is secured

5. T-shirt design

6. Decorations

7. Cost to collect from parents

8. Bus booking – Dr. Stolper notes we book those in January. We need to get a quote so we understand what to charge overall for parents.  Buses will arrive here at 10am and we will return by 2pm.  Plan to be at Bluhawk at 1030-130. 

9. 8th grade lounge – have two of the baskets already. Going to make a wall with the cases.  Will stick to games and snacks only upstairs

10. Waiting on the district to decide on when the celebration will be – will have to update the logistics.

11. Want to add a 50/50 raffle to the BVW game.
